Meet our one-of-a-kind Driver guides

Our driver guides, who are all fully qualified and experienced, include lords and lawyers, actors and genealogists, writers and TV producers. They have looked after Heads of State and royalty, famous actors, captains of industry, and politicians. They have a passion for service and aim to provide the most demanding of clients with great experiences. More than just a guide, they are friends and mentors.  They know the hidden pubs for delicious lunches and the hidden sights that coach groups can’t get to. Along with being informative and entertaining, they also know when to be silent! They are the favourite driver guides and chauffeurs of many Virtuoso, Signature and Ensemble Travel Agents.

I bring my guests off the tourist routes to hidden valleys, waterfalls, holy wells, ruined castles and abbeys, pagan stone circles and to some of the best seafood and organic restaurants in Ireland.

I’ve an encyclopedic knowledge of history gained from college study, TV script writing and lecturing, bringing to life ancient Ireland in its mysterious and beautiful ways.

An accredited Fáilte Ireland tour guide, guests tell me that I’m hugely personable! I love a great story and builds a genuine rapport with guests. With a huge interest in travelling, I’ll keep you regaled with stories from every corner of Ireland to all sorts of unusual spots around the globe.

Pamela – Ireland

Pamela Coyle

Born and bred Dubliner, I am a dedicated lover of all aspects of our capital city along with the coastal regions of Ireland. I delight in welcoming and tailoring tours for each visitor while sharing Ireland’s curiosities relating to culture, history, architecture and food. I worked for many years in the Irish book publishing industry before I entered the tourism industry 14 years ago as co-founder of Fabulous Food Trails.

When not leading tours around the country I love to cook, swim and spend time with friends and family in the Irish countryside.

James – Scotland

Driver - James

I started touring Scotland with my parents at the age of 8 and have had an interest in travel and history ever since. My love of the great outdoors continued through my teenage years where I was the designated planner of camping expeditions to the Scottish Highlands and coast. After studying Tourism I travelled in Europe and the USA and then settled back in Edinburgh to work in the Travel Industry. I was lucky enough to work for a well respected independent travel agency in Edinburgh in 1998, and was in charge of designing and booking specialist tours until 2005.

I am a musician and have played with many different music groups across Scotland. I have a keen interest in local history, photography and walking in remote areas.

I continue to travel for leisure and business purposes and love finding new places and creating itineraries for our customers to enjoy.
